Innovating for the Environment

Through its "Innovating for the Environment" program, the Michael Kenwood Foundation supports creative initiatives that aim to achieve measurable improvements, while fostering increased awareness of environmental issues.

The pilot project of our environment program is "3 Million Trees," with the goal of planting three million trees --one per class, in every classroom, K through 12, in every school in the United States-- by the end of the first phase.

The projet can be replicated on a yearly basis and extended to cover other school systems abroad. Thus it will hopefully become a regular event in the school year, with the accompanying activities, lessons and festivities appropriate to each age or grade level.
